Good digestive health is the key to fantastic overall health

Everything starts internally, and 80% of our immune system lies in our digestive tract. There are 11 systems in the body, and all relate back to the digestive system. If you’re getting sick frequently, you must question what is it that you're putting into your body. This is the correlation between many common sicknesses and illnesses.

With the modern western diet the foods that we eat are more often than not processed, cooked, modified and filled with chemicals and additives causing dramatic nutritional loss and many other health problems. Processing and cooking kills 100% of the enzymes that were once in our food and that are essential for breakdown and absorption. So now when we eat these affected foods they can no longer be broken down adequately and they head into our intestinal walls only partially broken down. Now, if we leave food out for periods of time, it will quickly go off. The same thing happens to the food in our digestive system, the food begins to go off, rots and ferments. Our intestines become clogged up with fermenting matter as well as bad bacteria. With this blockage in our system, it acts as a barrier and prevents our body from properly absorbing the nutrients from our food.

Essentially every tissue in the body is fed by the bloodstream, which is supplied by the bowel. When the bowel is dirty, the blood is dirty, and so are the organs and tissues. It is the bowel that must be cared for first. So this rotting, fermenting and bad bacteria gets reabsorbed back into our bloodstream which essentially goes everywhere in the body, creating a toxic environment that is detrimental to our health.

As a result we’re eating all these foods that contain little nutrition so our brain tells us to eat more and as a result we overeat and clog up our digestive system further. Experts believe that the average person has approximately 3-4 kgs of undigested food sitting in our stomach, just rotting away. This waste leads to harmful effects on one's health. These include: malnutrition, poor absorption and toxicity of the blood; all creating an acidic state in the body.
